THE HIT BATTERY, AN ANSWER TO THE PROBLEMS OF CHARGING TIME, SAFETY AND COST
The Hit Battery (High performance immersive Technology Battery) project will be presented shortly at the I-nov Excellence and Innovation Competition. This competition of excellence, financed by Ademe and BPI France, is dedicated to innovative single-partner projects led by start-ups and SMEs. It is designed to encourage the accelerated emergence of companies that are leaders in their fields and have the potential to become global players. We are therefore very proud of our participation.
In this project, e-Mersiv’s main objective is to respond to the growing demand for high-performance lithium-ion batteries. This would indeed facilitate the transition from the thermal vehicle to the electric vehicle, which will represent a major step in the reduction of CO2 emissions from the world of transport. It is therefore essential today to find solutions to address current consumer barriers to the better adoption of electric vehicles, i.e. to resolve issues such as charging time, safety and vehicle cost.
THE HIT BATTERY, AN S2E2-LABELED PRODUCT
The batteries developed by the HIT Battery project use immersion cooling technology. With cells immersed in a dielectric liquid and equipped with a high-performance BMS system, the batteries of the HIT Battery project have important advantages:
- less risk of fire in case of overheating;
- they recharge very quickly, in 10 minutes;
- they have an improved lifespan;
- Immersion cooling also allows a considerable reduction in the cost and weight of the battery.
With these important technological advances, Hit Battery is therefore perfectly aligned with the mission of S2E2‘s strategic business area of electrical systems and mobility. It also fulfils all the required criteria, i.e. the financial, economic and innovative criteria of the S2E2 competitiveness cluster.
Through this label, HIT Battery will benefit from the valuable advice of renowned experts, which will certainly contribute to the company’s rapid growth. In addition, e-Mersiv will have access to a vast network of many players in the field of energy management and electric mobility. This will enable us to meet the growing demands of our customers.
